Amendment 28 : Healthcore
Section 1 - Citizens born or raised in the United States will automatically have access to free healthcare, and will not be disregarded based on their skin color, gender, race or religion. In case of any incident involving racial matters, the offender will automatically be withdrawn from that position as long as evidence is complied and shown. People who may not be citizens but have been within the US for over 3 years will be eligible to apply, and the elderly will have access to free healthcare.
Section 2 - People who may be in possession or has unpaid medical fees will be withdrawn as they are no longer valid due to changes in policy.
Section 3 - In order for this to be in effect we need to consider the wages of medical workers and how we plan to replace it. Based on household income if they are less than a certain amount such as <$50,000 they will remain the same, but from >$50,000 taxes will have to be increased based on their income so the higher the income the more it will accumulate in taxes, which then that portion of money will be taken and used to cover expenses.
Reason for Amendment :
1 ) To improve economy
- Healthcare should be free because it can possibly improve economy. If we were to do a universal health care system. health practitioners are required to provide the same level of care to every legal citizen. This can help impact the economy in a good way because everyone would get help.
2 ) Less Bankruptcy
- Healthcare itself is extremely expensive, which the majority of the people can't afford and end up stuck in debts or left without homes in order to pay these bills. Some even go to the extent of refusing to visit and stay sick/injured to avoid having to pay. For example surgery for a broken arm without insurance can go up to $16,000.
3 ) More Accessible
- People who may not be finically stable or even homeless can at least have access to get medical attention without cost.
4 ) Equality
- According to the National Library of medicine it states that universal healthcare will be better facilitate and encourage sustainable, preventable health practices and be more advantageous for the long term public health and economy of the united states
